The seal is broken. The iron serpent tastes the air.

For thirty years, Father Richard Blood has been haunted by voices from the dark—cold, dissonant whispers that doctors called schizophrenia and the Church called a curse. Richard knows the truth: they are the voices of the damned, and they are trying to warn him.

When an impossibly deep Soviet-era borehole in the Syrian desert breaches a subterranean void, the silence of the ancient world is shattered. Deep beneath the bedrock, something ancient, hungry, and impossibly powerful has been waiting.

Enter Elijah Abadi, a billionaire philanthropist with the power to shape the modern world. But Elijah is no longer the man he once was. Possessed by a primordial entity that predates humanity, he is orchestrating a ritual to fulfill a Canaanite prophecy—the unmaking of creation.

From the secret archives of the Vatican to the ruins of ancient Ugarit, Father Richard Blood must race to break the circle before the ritual is completed. He is a man of faith armed with little more than academic knowledge and a terrifying, psychic connection to the enemy.

In a world where the line between history and horror has vanished, a broken priest may be the only thing standing between humanity and the rising tide of an ancient evil.

The war for the human soul has begun. Will you listen to the voices, or will you succumb to the silence?
