"I'll help you. But I want you to pretend to be my fated mate."
"What?"
"You heard me. I need you to be my mate, just for a while."
"But why me?"
"Because my wolf can't find the woman destiny chose for me."
Watching her boyfriend publicly accept another girl as his fated mate shatters Ruby Hale's heart. Before she can recover, she loses the scholarship her late mother sacrificed everything to secure, leaving her on the verge of dropping out of Kingston Academy.
Then Sebastian King, the academy's star hockey player and future Alpha, offers her a deal that sounds impossible.
His wolf has mysteriously lost the ability to recognize his true mate, but his father demands that he claim one within weeks. Ruby needs tuition. Sebastian needs a fake mate. Their one year contract seems like the perfect solution.
Soon Ruby is living beside Sebastian, attending pack events as his future Luna, and convincing everyone that fate has finally brought them together. But the longer they pretend, the harder it becomes to ignore the growing attraction between them.
As Sebastian's jealous childhood friend fights to claim him, Ruby's ex regrets letting her go, and the secret behind Sebastian's blocked wolf begins to unravel, their carefully crafted lie starts falling apart.
If Ruby is only his fake mate, why does every instinct tell Sebastian she is the one he has been searching for? When the truth is finally revealed, will their contract end in heartbreak, or lead them to the destiny neither of them expected?
