In 1920s New York, ambition rises as fast as steel. Hidden beneath a 14th Street storefront, the speakeasy, Whispers, offers refuge from prohibition's chaos—a place where music, loyalty, and quiet dreams take hold. Harriet Tilden runs the club with steady resolve, guiding Clara, a rising singer, Willie, a gifted pianist, and Charlie, the ever-watchful bartender. Above them, former partners Craig Severance and William Van Alen battle to shape the skyline, their rivalry reflecting two visions of the future—power versus artistry, tradition versus the bold geometry of art deco.
As organized crime tightens its grip under Lucky Luciano, the worlds of music and architecture collide. Forced into a dangerous choice, Harriet risks everything to seek justice in a city where success and survival are never guaranteed. "Stardust and Steel" is a story of ambition, loyalty, and the people who endure beneath the towers that define an era.
