Nessa Vale has spent years pretending she does not care about Hollowmere Academy, the elite magical school that rejected her before she ever had the chance to belong.
Then a scholarship letter arrives sealed in blackglass.
The offer should be impossible. Nessa has no magic, no wealthy family name, and no reason to trust an institution built on secrets. But Hollowmere is also where Arden Rook lives now—Nessa’s former best friend, the girl who vanished from her life without an explanation and returned colder, sharper, and bound to a power she refuses to discuss.
Inside the academy’s hollow-windowed halls, Nessa discovers hidden ledgers, forbidden magic, and a secret society guarding the truth beneath the floorboards. Every scholarship has a price. Every polished tradition hides another name. And the closer Nessa gets to the heart of Hollowmere, the more she realizes the school does not reward its most promising students.
It consumes them.
To save Arden and expose the academy’s corrupted power, Nessa must decide how much she is willing to sacrifice—and whether a broken friendship can survive the secrets buried between them.
The Blackglass Scholarship is a queer dark academia fantasy filled with magical academy secrets, former best friends, forbidden magic, gothic atmosphere, institutional corruption, and a dangerous secret society.
