She was raised to defend her kingdom with fire. He was trained to destroy everything she serves. Now an ancient vow has bound their lives together.
Ava Serrin has spent years fighting for Emberfall, wielding fire magic against the Ironbound soldiers advancing across the border. Rhydan Vale is the enemy captain she should hate without hesitation: disciplined, dangerous, and loyal to a rival kingdom forged in steel.
But when a peace summit erupts in betrayal, Ava and Rhydan awaken a forbidden brightsteel relic—and the magic binds them together. They cannot travel far apart. They cannot fight without feeling each other’s pain. And they cannot uncover the truth behind the war unless they learn to trust the one person each was taught to despise.
Hunted by both armies and forced into an uneasy alliance, Ava and Rhydan follow a trail of secrets toward a weapon powerful enough to control entire kingdoms. Every step draws them deeper into a conspiracy of elemental magic, broken loyalties, and dangerous attraction.
The closer they come to the truth, the harder it becomes to tell where the vow ends and their feelings begin.
The Brightsteel Vow is a fast-paced enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance featuring fire magic, forced proximity, a magical bond, rival kingdoms, betrayal, redemption, and a slow-burn romance forged in the middle of a war.
