In the kingdom of Valdris, survival is a daily war. For generations, humanity has fought a relentless campaign against the demon forces of Aethermoor. The kingdom’s only true defense lies in the Hero Corps-individuals trained to wield extraordinary supernatural abilities in combat.

At the spearhead of this defense is "The Five," Valdris's most formidable elite unit. Led by Aldric Voss, a brilliant strategist commanding wind and lightning, the squad is an unstoppable force. Beside him stand Callum, a master of fire; Brennan, an iron-skinned powerhouse; Wren, who moves unseen through shadows; and Maren, an empathetic healer who binds them together.

Under the calculating direction of the Minister of Strategic Affairs, Lord Casian Vorne, The Five are dispatched on grueling campaigns to push back the encroaching dark. But as the blood-soaked battles wear on, Aldric and his team begin to notice unsettling anomalies on the front lines. The demons do not behave like the mindless monsters from the kingdom's history books. They exhibit complex military tactics, protect their vulnerable, and show signs of a hidden civilization that Valdris's leaders refuse to acknowledge.

Driven by a dangerous curiosity and a growing sense of unease, the unit must navigate the treacherous line between duty and treason. As the cracks in their kingdom's official history widen, The Five are drawn into a deadly mystery. In a world where every truth is manipulated by those in power, uncovering the reality of their enemy might cost them everything.
