Clay Porter wrote the books that made Arthur Hale a legend.
Now Arthur is dead, the town is obsessed, and Clay is lying low in a Carolina beach town where everyone worships a voice they don’t realize belongs to him.

Mae is the biggest fan of them all—sharp, funny, and still recovering from the kind of heartbreak that makes you trust stories more than people. When she falls for Clay, she has no idea she’s falling for the man behind the words that raised her expectations… and ruined her tolerance for b******t.

But when the world learns Arthur never wrote a single page, the town turns into a true-crime book club, the internet starts hunting for the real author, and Clay’s NDA becomes a ticking time bomb.

The Ghostwriter is a smart, coastal romantic comedy about secrets, fandom, and what happens when the love of your life is the one who’s been hiding in plain sight.
