"I got what I wanted. I became buddy-buddy with my boss in an instant. But the cost will be hefty… surviving a cutthroat corporate retreat with a fake husband by tomorrow."
Scottie Price just started a new job, and it's a real sausage fest. She's the only woman on a team filled with insufferable Brads and Chads. Expecting a bachelor pad atmosphere, she is quickly corrected when she finds out everyone is part of a cult-like "happily married" club.
Desperate to fit in and secure a life-changing venture capital investment from her boss, Scottie mentions her nonexistent husband. But when eagle-eyed, toxic rival Chad points out her lack of a wedding ring, Scottie panics and invents a story about a failing marriage. Unfortunately, her boss has a solution: a mandatory session with the most elite marriage counselor in the Northeast, who happens to be the boss's husband.
With no way out, Scottie begs her best friend for help. Enter Wilder Wells: her best friend's brother, a pierced, retired millionaire, and a guy who loves a good improv challenge.
Wilder takes the role a little too seriously. Embracing the main rule of improv—always say yes—he accidentally signs them up for an eight-day extreme survival marriage camp in the wilderness with all of Scottie's co-workers. Forced to share a single bed in a kinky cabin with her way-too-handsome fake husband, Scottie thinks things can't get any worse.
She's wrong. Between navigating treacherous sinkholes, Chad's malicious blackmail, and the intense fight for the investment fund, the lines between fake and real violently blur. Soon, Scottie realizes the biggest danger isn't losing her career—it's losing her heart to a fiercely protective man who is willing to burn the entire world down just to keep her safe.
