Charlyze has a podcast, a boutique, and absolutely no business spending her days confirming appointments at a private medical practice on the French Riviera. And yet — here she is.

For two weeks, she's simply "the blonde at the desk." No relation. Just helping out. Except the doctor behind the door and the woman running the front desk both know exactly who she is — and so does she, even if she's the only one not allowed to say it.

Between entitled fathers demanding certificates for appointments that never happened, a sister determined to rewrite reality one phone call at a time, a pair of car keys saved from disaster by an army of Labubus, and a boss she's started calling Bezos in the privacy of her own head — Charlyze learns more about compassion, boundaries, and the cost of loving difficult people than she bargained for.

Sharp, shady, and unexpectedly tender, Côte d'Azur is the third installment in The Vanity Fair Notebook series — a story about the gates we guard, the people we protect, and what it means to matter somewhere that will never be able to say your name.
