Meet the Tracking Team:

•Tren: A massive purple swamp cat and the undisputed Alpha. He is the shield, a living wall of muscle and claw ready to die for his human.
•Ing: The silent eye in the sky. A voiceless hawk with "shifter" wings that contract from a four-foot span to a tight two feet for forest combat. He possesses the lethal speed of a peregrine falcon and the tactical mind to map the big picture.
•Ju-a: The rope snake and truth-seer. In a world of lies, Ju-a feels the pulse of deception, and provides a devotion to Ev as absolute as her venom.
•Lady Ev D'Ander: The human connection. Once a highly sought-after musician, now the mental switch-board for the team, Ev is the connection that melds the four of them into a team of deadly specialists.

Their first mission: Accompany a military team of 10 seasoned soldiers and a seasoned military tracker, extract a watcher and her family from a planet being torn apart by earthquakes. According to Command, a simple job. What could possibly go wrong?
