High in the untamed Rockies, where the winters bite and the mountains show no mercy, Laird Loomis carves out a life as hard and unyielding as the granite peaks around him. A trapper, a hunter, and a man who answers to no one, Loomis has learned to survive where others would perish.

But when a band of raiders threatens the peaceful tribes he trades with, Loomis is drawn into a fight he never asked for — and won't back down from. Armed with his rifle, his wits, and his unshakable grit, Laird Loomis sets out to prove that in these mountains, no man is more dangerous than him.

In the high country, survival isn't enough — you have to fight to keep what's yours.
