When a powerful force of nature reshapes the fate of his family, a young wolf pup from Yellowstone begins to question wolven folklore and sets out alone in search of his purpose.

After years in pursuit of answers, he discovers the Howling Dawn, a newly formed order protecting something he has long been searching for: a spirit gate. This direct link between the real world and the afterlife offers the answers he has sought, yet delivers a message that fills him with dread and disbelief. His very name has a curse attached to it.

When he reunites with a friend from his past, he is faced with the weight of his deadly identity and the choices that come with it. He must decide how to use the curse: to ruin the lives of every wolf around him, or to hide it and use the dead as a warning to those who survive.

In this story of transformation from optimism into cynicism, and the ever-growing wrath of the ancestors, the young wolf must learn that survival is not about strength... but about what others believe.
