What happens when the one person you're told to avoid is the only one who makes you feel alive?
Ethan Morris arrives at his teammate's lakehouse expecting a simple summer — workouts, lake days, and zero drama. What he gets instead is Dante Kovac: older, tattooed, scarred, and fresh out of prison with an ankle monitor to prove it.
Connor's warning is crystal clear: Stay away. He's dangerous. He destroys everything he touches.
Ethan should listen. He doesn't.
Because underneath Dante's hard edges and haunted eyes is a man who lost everything — his scholarship, his career, his freedom — for defending himself against a hate crime he was never allowed to explain. And the more Ethan sees, the harder it is to look away.
What starts as stolen glances turns into secret training sessions. Secret training turns into forbidden kisses. And before long, two men who were never supposed to want each other are falling hard — knowing every moment together is a risk that could send Dante back to prison and unravel Ethan's entire future.
This is a second-chance MM hockey romance built on real heat, real heartbreak, and two broken people learning — slowly, painfully — that love isn't about being safe. It's about being seen.
