Exploring religion, relationships, and their intersections, the poetry in this collection transitions from events in the present to the post-human future that is still under the allure of Religion's past power and Death's seduction.

As the poet comes to terms with her sexual orientation and how being a queer woman influences her relationship with the Catholic Church, ultimately leading to her decision to leave organized religion for her own Babylon, the poems in these pages take form, not from the rib of some man, but from the history of women slighted by time and interpretation.
