In Black Hollow, the dead do not just hunger for flesh. They hunger for what makes you human.

When Mara Vey returns to her isolated mountain hometown to bury her estranged father, she expects silence, grief, and unfinished family wounds.

Instead, she finds Black Hollow sealed off from the world.

The streets are empty. The church bell rings with no one pulling the rope. And the dead walk through town whispering the names of the living.

But these are not mindless corpses.

They remember.

They steal voices. They repeat secrets. They wear the memories of loved ones like masks. The longer the living stay near them, the more human the dead become.

As Mara joins a desperate group of survivors hiding beneath the ruined town, she discovers that the plague did not begin with a bite, a virus, or an accident. It began beneath the church, inside an abandoned mine where her father once tried to conquer death by preserving memory itself.

Now something ancient and hungry waits below Black Hollow.

Something that has learned how to speak with the voices of the dead.

Something that wants Mara because she carries the final key to its escape.

To survive, Mara must face the truth about her family, the town’s buried sins, and the terrifying question at the heart of the nightmare:

If the dead remember you perfectly… are they still dead?
