At the edge of the last great Ice Age, survival is more than a struggle — it's a proving ground.

Ka-Ruk, a young hunter of the Dawn Clan, knows the rules of his world: hunt, fight, endure. But when a hunt goes wrong and he finds himself alone, cut off from his people, he must battle not only the beasts of the wilderness but his own fear and doubt.

Determined to earn his place among the hunters and win the respect of his clan, Ka-Ruk tracks the great bison herds across a treacherous, untamed land. Yet what he finds on his journey — and the choices he must make — will test him in ways no hunt ever could.

A gripping tale of survival, courage, and the first sparks of love and loyalty in a dangerous, ancient world.
