He was my stepfather for fourteen months. Now he’s the only man I want.
Morgan Cade has a perfect life on paper: a successful architecture firm, a thirty-year marriage to a wealthy retired banker, and a historic lighthouse restoration project that could define her legacy. But her marriage is a silent tomb. Her husband, Richard, hasn’t touched her in years. She sleeps alone, eats alone, and aches alone.
Then she hears the whistle.
At a crumbling lighthouse keeper’s cottage in Portland, Maine, a haunting melody draws her to a stranger. He is older, silver haired, with calloused hands that build guitars. His name is Jude Whistler. And he was once married to her mother.
For one year when Morgan was eight, Jude was the only source of warmth in a cold house. He taught her to fish, read her stories, and sang her to sleep. Then a car accident tore them apart, and her mother poisoned every memory. Morgan has spent forty-six years believing Jude abandoned her.
She was wrong.
Now, as autumn winds lash the Maine coast, Morgan and Jude collide in a storm of buried desire, long held secrets, and a passion so raw it threatens to burn her safe life to ash. He is gentle. He is patient. And when he touches her, Morgan feels alive for the first time in decades.
But Richard is watching. A private investigator is asking questions. And the secret that ended Jude’s marriage to her mother is far darker than Morgan ever imagined.
The Whistler’s Secret is an erotic romance for adults only. Explicit scenes, forbidden love, and a suspenseful twist will keep you turning pages past midnight. For fans of Ana Huang, Sylvia Day, and E.L. James.
