IT WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO MATTER THIS MUCH.

Ashimah didn't go to the café looking for a relationship.

She went to write.

Then she met Yahya.

A man who listened differently.

A man who noticed things other people missed.

A man who somehow made ordinary conversations feel important.

At first, it seemed harmless.

Just coffee.

Just conversations.

Just someone who understood her in ways few people ever had.

But some connections don't arrive with certainty.

They arrive with curiosity.

With anticipation.

With the feeling that something about this person matters before you know why.

And sometimes that feeling becomes harder to leave than the person.

As their connection deepens, Ashimah finds herself caught between what she knows and what she hopes.

Because some people enter your life with answers.

Others enter with potential.

And potential can be harder to walk away from than the truth.

Especially when every conversation feels meaningful.

Every moment feels significant.

And every answer feels just close enough to keep waiting.

IT FELT DIFFERENT is a deeply emotional novel about connection, uncertainty, attachment, and the dangerous space between reality and possibility.

For every reader who has ever stayed a little longer because the connection felt too important to walk away from.

For every reader who has ever mistaken emotional significance for certainty.

And for every reader who has ever looked back and wondered:

Was it real?

Did it mean something?

Or did it only feel different?
