Dave, a painfully nerdy accountant with more social anxiety than swagger, steps out of a dive bar bathroom one night only to be abducted by aliens he can't communicate with. What he doesn't realize is that, to them, he isn't a prisoner or a chosen hero,he's their pet. From the "joys" of training and collars to cozy snuggle sessions with massive alien beasts, Dave's life suddenly mirrors everything your dog or cat experiences at home, except with starships, wormholes, and multiversal politics thrown in.

The joke, of course, is on Dave. Convinced he's been drafted as a space warrior or intergalactic savior, he bumbles through his adventures interpreting playtime as gladiator combat, dog parks as alien battle arenas, and obedience lessons as mysterious cosmic rites. While he's busy imagining himself as a superhero, the reader is in on the bigger irony: he's just the galaxy's most oblivious "good boy."

Packed with visual spectacle, biting humor, and genuine heart, Dave, the Space Pet is a genre-bending, character-driven romp through the cosmos where one awkward human stumbles into adventure, identity, and maybe even family, in the unlikeliest way possible.
