From the frost-bitten fjords of Norway to the bustling, multi-ethnic docks of Viking-Age Dublin and the blood-soaked valleys of Wales, Strands of the North is a sweeping multi-generational epic that rewrites the history of the medieval Atlantic world more accurately. Beginning with the half Siberian twin princes of Rogaland, Geirmund and Hámund—born of a Norse sea-king and a Siberian-Uralic princess—the stories span over two centuries of shifting alliances, brutal conquests and deep-seated survival.

When an 859AD raid on North African Nekor brings a brilliant class of captive artisans and master craftsmen to Ireland, their sophisticated culture and architectural ingenuity interweave with Hiberno-Norse society. As empires crumble and generations succeed, this diverse lineage must navigate the harsh realities of war, dynastic marriage, and displacement to forge an enduring legacy leading up to the arrival in Wales of Rhys ap Tewdwr's nephew, Eidio Wyllt. Rich in historical authenticity, this is a story of resilience, hidden lineages, and the many hands that built the medieval world.
