As veterinarians Mac and Jo investigate a mysterious condition involving their poultry patients on longtime client Tilly's farm, they find themselves locked in opposing opinions, which creates a challenge between them as to whose treatment is correct. As if that isn't enough to deal with, Mac's least-favorite patient is taking a holiday and insists on having her beloved pet boarded at the Furry Friends Surgery. And tried-and-true office manager Rowena is finally taking a holiday of her own—despite Mac's insistence that all will be well, the surgery's computer system defies the technology skills of everyone from Mac to Farlane.

Will the surgery's temperamental computer system survive her absence? More importantly, will Mac and Jo's friendship survive a professional conflict?
