Before the beginning, there was nothing but darkness and the Spirit of God.

Then He spoke: "Let there be light!"

This joyful, rhyming retelling of the creation story lets children watch the world take shape one day at a time. It begins with the first burst of light and moves through the sprinkled stars, the fish in the seas, and the high-flying birds, all the way to elephants, cattle, and every creature in God's zoo. Each page pairs rhythmic verse with a hand-drawn illustration ready to color, so young readers can bring creation to life with their own crayons.

This is more than a coloring book. Two built-in discussion sections take on the big questions kids love to ask. What does God look like? How long did creation take? What does "in the beginning" really mean? The simple, honest answers help children and the grown-ups beside them understand faith as trusting God, even when some things are hard to understand.
