Alone behind the wheel of an old jeep, I embarked on a long, uncertain journey into Tibet.

Only to fulfill a promise made in my youth — the final vow of this lifetime.

Snow-capped peaks, sacred lakes, devout pilgrims, and unwavering faith…

Upon this magnificent yet merciless plateau, I was shaken again and again, wounded in spirit,

and driven to the very edge between life and death.

Then, when I finally met a young girl named Drolma in Mirui Township,

the long-silent gears of fate began to turn once more.

Was her appearance merely a chance encounter

— or a waiting that had endured across years, destiny, and reincarnation?

This is a story of promise, waiting, and redemption.

Amid the boundless clouds and twilight snows of the sacred highlands,

what I sought was perhaps not only the legendary Shambhala,

but also the lost self I had been searching for all these years.
