Amelia Navarro only planned to stay in Mason Falls long enough to help her father keep Navarro's Diner alive.

But small towns don't let the past stay buried.

The first lake-effect snow hasn't softened the sharp edges of Mason Falls — not the shuttered factories, not the gossip moving through church basements and diner booths, and definitely not Wyatt Mercer, the man Amelia left behind seven years ago without explanation.

Now Wyatt is helping repair the diner's failing kitchen while Amelia tries desperately to ignore how easily old rhythms return between them: burnt coffee before sunrise, arguments that sound dangerously close to flirting, and the impossible warmth of watching him with her daughter.

Wyatt never expected Amelia to come back.

He definitely never expected her to feel like home again.

As winter gives way to spring, the town begins pulling them together through flood brigades, Founders Fair lights, community fundraisers, and the stubborn heartbeat of people trying to survive another season. But Amelia is hiding the one truth that could destroy everything just as it begins to heal.

And the closer Wyatt gets to Rosie, the harder it becomes to keep the past buried.

Burnt Cinnamon is an emotionally layered small-town romance filled with slow-burn tension, blue-collar community life, family secrets, sharp humor, and unforgettable second chances.
