This is a memoir book. The woman finds herself in an abusive marriage. The husband disconnects her from her family and friends. Her self-esteem is stripped off from her. She endures physical, emotional and even financial abuse believing that this will change for the better. She tries to run away but is brought back, attempts to commit suicide but fails.
