She never asked what he wanted.

That was the question the Wizard couldn't finish. Eighteen-year-old Glinda already knew the answer. She just couldn't risk hearing it out loud.

Now Oscar is dying — not from wicked witches or their armies, but from the weight of everything she set in motion. With less than two days before death claims him permanently, Glinda crosses all of Oz, descends into the source of magic itself, allies herself with sworn enemies, and raises her hand against the friends who believed in her most.

She will do all of it without flinching. That has never been her problem.

The Soldier with Green Whiskers stands between her and the Wizard with a rifle pointed at her heart and tells her the truth she's been outrunning since book one — that she waited, and wasted every moment, and came to claim a man she never thought to know.

She doesn't have time to hear it. She never does.

Glinda will fight for Oz with everything she has. The only question is what she'll find waiting for her when the fighting is done.

Dark Wind in Oz is the conclusion to the Hidden History of Oz trilogy — an epic fantasy set decades before Dorothy, where duty is the last thing standing when everything else falls away.
